2007 Christian Sports Recreational Fall Champions (7-2)

Team Vigil (7-2) played Team Ashley (6-3) for the Championship in the Recreational League. The most exciting playoffs during the 2007 Fall playoff run were easily in the recreational league and the championship game was no exception. 3 of the 5 playoff games were won on play 6 or play 7. Team Vigil scored on play 6 in the Semi's vs Team Watters to advance to the Championship. Team Ashley won on a 4th and 21 Girl play on play 6 in their first game which allowed them to advance in the playoffs. All of that excitement in the early games continued in the Championship Game. With Team Vigil up 13-7 James McWhorter (Team Ashley) intercepted a Stu Murphy pass and returned it 25 yards for a TD and a 14-13 lead. Time having expired Team Vigil went to work and drove the ball down to the Ashley 2 yard line. On the last play of the game Team Vigil completed a tipped ball and won the game 19-14 to bring home the Championship.
